The Artist Behind NuG00seIllustrations

My name is Nu McAdam, and I’ve been an artist since I was a child. It’s only in the past couple of years that I’ve felt confident enough to start selling my work and making a small living from it. Despite living in a society that is often uncomfortable and ableist toward disabled people, I continue to create art that represents me, my fixations, and my perspective on the world.

Thanks to the support of the people around me—my carers, my partner, and friends—I’ve been creating and selling art since 2021. I started out making Christmas cards and gradually pushed myself to take part in in-person markets, primarily in Brighton. It’s been a labour of love over the past few years, and I continue to make art that brings joy to anyone who loves geese as much as I do.
